While individual family members have separate purchase rights, these restrictions apply collectively to the nuclear family (mother, father, and child).

The restrictions mentioned above apply to all foreign nationals; however, there is a method available for those wishing to own more property. What You Need to Know About Property Purchase Conditions in Cyprus

• Foreigners wishing to purchase real estate in the TRNC may purchase 1 residential property, 1 acre of land, or 1 residential property built on 5 acres of land.
• For residential properties within an apartment complex or villa site, the size of the land does not pose an issue.
• Companies established or operating in Northern Cyprus have unlimited rights to purchase real estate.
• Foreign nationals must apply to the Ministry of the Interior and obtain approval from the Council of Ministers to own real estate in the TRNC. This process may take between 60 and 90 days.
• The property that foreigners wish to purchase must not have any existing mortgage or lien.
